Mr. Mohsen Sarhan
Mohsen is the CEO of the Egyptian Food Bank, the leading food security nonprofit in the Middle East and Africa, and the inspiration behind more than 88 food banks globally. He leads a team of 400 Egyptian development experts passionate about leaving an impact in the society. Besides leading the Food Bank, Mohsen serves as a Trustee of the Egyptian Social Takaful organization, one of Egypt’s largest and oldest nonprofits, and he regularly lectures at two of his alma maters, The American University in Cairo and Cairo University. In 2020, he received the prestigious MEI Visionary award for the Food Bank’s leadership of one of the largest relief campaigns in history by a nonprofit, targeting the support of daily laborers through the COVID pandemic.
